10)  Reference Form to be filled by two persons, could be your teacher and/or employer.

11) A CURRENT BANK STATEMENT with an amount equal to $15,000 in U.S. dollars. This statement may be in your own personal name, or it may be in the name of a sponsor who has agreed to provide financial support for your education.

If you can not get your bank statement in US dollars you may get the conversion from the internet.  Just print the page showing the conversion and  include it with your bank statement  www.currency-exchange.co.uk/Currency-Converter.htm .

12) SPONSOR LETTER: If you are using a sponsor who does not live in the US, TLHU will need a signed letter from the sponsor stating, "I am the sponsor for _______ and I intend to provide him/her with financial assistance during his/her first year at TLHU up to the amount of $_____."  This letter needs to explain why the sponsor is willing to financially support you and explain the nature of his/her relationship with you.  The sponsor needs to indicate where the money came from and he/she needs to make it clear that the money is a gift and does not need to be paid back. Please note that, if you are planning to use a sponsor to help you pay for your educational expenses, the U.S. visa officers scrutinize very carefully the bank statements and letters of support that those sponsor's provide to you. If, for example, it is not clear what the nature of the relationship is between the sponsor and the applicant the officers will believe the promise of assistance is not believable.  (That is, the officers will ask themselves, "Is it believable that this sponsor--friend, employer, family member or whatever--would actually give this much money to this applicant with no expectation of having the money paid back?")  For this reason, the applicant and the sponsor need to make it clear why the sponsor is willing to do such a thing. This bank statement may be in your own personal name, or it may be in the name of a sponsor who has agreed to provide financial support for your education.  If you are using the bank statement of a sponsor who lives in the U.S., that person must fill out an I-134 form (click here) which you will attach and send in with the sponsor's bank statement and letter which verifies employment. A sponsor living outside of the U.S. will not use the I-134 form, but rather must provide you with a letter addressed to TLHU stating his/her intention to support you financially for at least $15,000 along with the sponsor's bank statement.

13) Completed and signed International Student Financial Background Sheet

14) Copy of Passport:  Photocopy of passport is to provide proof of birth date, citizenship and visa status.  Applicants outside the United States who have not yet acquired a passport will need to submit a copy of their birth certificate or personal I.D. If you do not have your passport now, scan and e-mail to us a photocopy of a passport as soon as you receive it.

Applicants living in the U.S. at time of application in F, M or J non-immigrant classification must provide a completed Transfer Out form and written confirmation of visa status at previous school attended before transferring to TLHU, and provide materials listed above.

Due to the high volume of international applicants, we cannot begin processing your application until we have received all of the required documents. So please DO NOT send any material to us until you have got the completed packages, then, send all of your material at one time.

Due to the high volume of emails we receive, please use the reply feature with all correspondence.  (We do not keep a file on student email until the application process has begun.  Therefore it is very important to use the reply feature).

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
