Introduction
California University
of Management and Sciences (CalUMS)
has following programs
The MBA and MSCIS program includes one course (MS
611 Project) which requires students to complete 90
internship/practicum hours. CPT is only offered to F-1
who registered MS 611 Project course. The purpose of the
internship/practicum hours of the MS 611 Project course
is to provide opportunity for students to prepare for
their project proposal based on their learning
experience/s in the field. This internship is rigorously
monitored and evaluated by school administrators until
such time the project proposal is completed within a
period of one year. In order to provide more time for the students to
prepare for their project proposal, the internship is
allowed to start at any time upon approval of the
internship.
The program provides
qualified international students an opportunity to
obtain curriculum (MS 611 Project) related practical experience
working for companies in the United States while
working on their Master’s degree. Through this program, international
students have the right to complete their internship by working
off-campus with American
based companies while studying toward their degree. All wages paid can be kept by the
students and used for their tuition and fees & living and
personal expenses. This
unique program provides an education that
combines both theory and practical experience that
will exceed the education obtained by classroom theory
alone.
